EDITORIAL

Illustration has been a key part of editorial publishing for aaaages, and I’m super proud of all illustrators for keeping it that way! I’ve been working in editorial since my very first commissions almost 20 years ago and it never fails to be enjoyable; collaborating with art directors, the challenge of tackling difficult subjects, telling stories, relaying information and then seeing it published.

Here’s a selection of recent editorial work, and of course if you’d like to work together on any editorial projects then get in touch.

The Big Issue : Illustrations to accompany a series of sponsored article for Experian, featuring advice on money management and resolving issues with digital inclusion.

Sappi Europe : An illustration for Sappi's company magazine published by John Brown Media looking at the ebbs and flows of print magazine popularity.

Fast Company : Illustration to accompany an article looking at how shared offices spaces will develop and evolve after the global pandemic.

The Big Issue : Illustrations for The Big Issue's sponsors WHSmith, for two double-page spread advertorials looking at the retailer's sustainability and reading programs.

Creative UK : I worked alongside Fiasco Design on an editorial illustration for Creative UK’s publication ‘One Thing I Know : Hard Earned Insights from Industry Leaders’. My illustration accompanied a piece written by Eloise Singer of Singer Studios, looking at applying creative work and the stories you want to tell, to newer formats, for example filmmakers moving into VR. My illustration was also used on the cover of the book.

Bulletin Magazine : An illustration to accompany an article looking at a family approach to supporting the communication skills of people with Developmental Language Disorders.

Foodism Magazine : Illustrating an article asking London's top chefs what they cook at home.

Chicago Magazine : Illustrating an article about personalising your rental space. We decided to show a space mid-decoration, bringing some of the tips in the article to life.

Foodism Magazine : Illustrating an article asking London's top chefs what they cook at home.

The Guardian : Illustrating the 'Long Read' in the Journal section, accompanying a piece by Reni Eddo-Lodge entitled 'Why I'm no longer talking to white people about race'.
