The Annual Illustrators Survey

Back in 2017 I was having a few conversations around the illustration community on Twitter, some private chat groups and in-person, and I started to realise that even though it’s a strong, close community, there was no real network of information between illustrators. We were all using the same resources, but we weren’t sharing our own personal experiences or discussing the behind-the-scenes aspects of our illustration practices as a wider group. So The Annual Illustrators Survey was born. The survey then ran for 3 consecutive years with support from The AOI, Hire an Illustrator, Adobe, Cassarts and Survey Monkey.
